I-85 accident and ramifications for traffic

Traffic both ways on parts of I-85 in Anderson County was moving slowly this morning past a serious accident scene.  According to reports, there were multiple vehicles and injuries.  The wreckage is believed to include tractor-trailer trucks at the 9-mile marker northbound. Backups were described as far back as into Georgia.

Tech to project fall enrollment

At their meeting on Monday, the commissioners who govern Tri-County Technical College will receive a projection on enrollment this fall.  Dr. Ronnie Booth, Tech President, will address enrollment–as well as several other items as part of his report at the meeting.  The Tech commission will meet at 12:30 pm Monday in the Pendleton Campus Board Room.

I-85 back ups traffic northound

A serious I-85 accident this morning in Anderson County has created tie-ups for northbound interstate traffic as far back as into Georgia.  It’s a multi-vehicle accident, involving tractor trailer trucks, at the 9-mile marker.  Northbound 85 traffic is being urged to detour onto exit 4 at Townville.

Two Westminster area residents remained in jail today, charged with safecracking at Fair Play.
