Service restored after power outage

The lights are back working in Seneca after an electric power outage that occurred this morning between 9 and 10 o’clock.  The city’s utilities department survived yesterday’s storms, but the crews this morning discovered a circuit out and then went to work to fix it, according to Bob Faires, utilities director.

Oconee escapes nature’s worst

Oconee County appeared to escape the brunt of spring time storms that had many in the South bracing for the potential of tornadoes. At least, so far, the worst reported by county authorities are a few blown trees. The county experienced a torrential storm and high winds during the 2 o’clock hour yesterday afternoon.
