Walhalla has a new mayor and three new councilmen.  They and their holdover colleagues are invited for an orientation and training workshop from 10 to 5 on Wednesday at the Walhalla Depot.

How municipal government comports itself going forward is the reason for a workshop meeting tomorrow afternoon for the Westminster City Council.  The mayor and council are to gather at 1 o’clock at city hall for a planning session and priority setting workshop.

A candidate emerges for the District Four seat on the Oconee County Council.   Tommy James says he’s seeking office with a platform of limited government and championing the rights of individuals.  The District Four seat is now held by Julian Davis.
