Cassandra Fontana

 

Salem—Cassandra Lee “Cassie Roo” Fontana, 39, passed away on Thursday, September 29, 2022 at her residence.

 

Born in Mt. Clemens, Michigan, Cassie was the daughter of Denise Ann Fontana and Lawrence Fontana (Lenore). Cassie was employed with BiLo in Seneca for over 10 Years and was a member of the Tribble Center where she excelled signing to many songs, entertaining at the Westminster Apple Festival, various local nursing homes and Special Olympics held at Clemson University.  Cassie enjoyed learning to SCUBA dive, coloring in pencil and reading her beloved Goosebump books.  She loved watching movies and TV shows especially Charmed, Dirty Dancing, The Cutting Edge and her all-time favorite, Titanic. Most of all, Cassie loved her family; especially her mother.

 

In addition to her parents, Cassie is survived by her brother, Christopher James Fontana (Brittany); sisters, Courtney Marie Jones (Matthew) and Carrie Ann Moryan; Godfather and uncle James N. Hendrick Jr. (Julie); many nieces and nephews; and her special friend, Josh Shortridge.

 

Cassie is preceded in death by her grandparents, Shirley and John Bowlick, James N. Hendrick Sr., Bennie and Lenora Fontana; Godmother and aunt Jeanne Weiss; aunt Tina Lee; and her niece, Aliyah D’lorio-Fontana.

 

The family will receive friends 5:00 pm – 7:00 pm, Friday, October 14th, at Sandifer Funeral where they will share memories and celebrate.   A Celebration of Life Service will be held Saturday, October 15, 2022 at 1:00 pm at Keowee Key North Marina Pavilion with a reception to follow.
