Cars collide on 123 By-Pass, as one attempts to cross lanes

The police say two car drivers suffered minor injuries, but the impact of their collision this morning in Seneca left their vehicles disabled and wreckers were required to clear the scene. The accident occurred shortly before 8 this morning at 123 By-Pass at Old Salem Road, in front of the South State Bank. Involved were a Mazda and an SUV. Capt. B-J McClure gave this account: “The driver of the Mazda stopped at the stop sign on Old Salem Road, but failed to yield the right of way to the traffic of vehicles traveling in the east-bound lanes of the Bypass, and pulled in front of silver 2017 Jeep SUV, causing the Jeep to strike the driver’s side of the Mazda.”
