Carolina Panthers NFL Draft Pick

As it turns out, USC receiver Xavier Legette’s pre-Draft intuition that the Carolina Panthers would select him early proved to be correct. And the team was so determined to do just that that it traded one space up to get into Thursday night’s first round.  Carolina swapped its 33rd overall pick (the first in Friday’s second round) with the Bills’ 32nd and last choice in round one (while also trading their fifth round pick at number 141 for Buffalo’s sixth rounder at 200) to land Legette, who had a breakout campaign for South Carolina last fall.  NFL Draft round 2 and 3 continue tonight at 7pm in Detroit.
