Carolina Panther Training Camp

The Carolina Panthers officially kick off a fresh era of football this week in Spartanburg, as the team reports for the start of training camp at Wofford College.  It will be the team’s 28th training camp on the Upstate campus, where they’ve spent each summer since the franchise’s inception, except for 2020 due to COVID-19 restrictions.  But this summer marks a new direction for the franchise, which fired head coach Matt Rhule last October in the middle of his third season at the helm, and hired former Indianapolis Colts head coach Frank Reich, who was the first starting quarterback in Panthers history back in 1995.  The Panthers will hold 12 training camp practices between Wednesday, July 26 and Thursday, Aug. 10, with 11 taking place at Wofford.  Carolina will host Back Together Saturday this weekend at Wofford’s Gibbs Stadium, starting at 11 a.m. In addition to practice, the annual event includes performances by the Panthers entertainment group, activities for fans of all ages and more.
