Carnice Futch

 

Westminster – Carnice Mildred Simmons Futch, 96, wife of the late Joseph Heyward Futch, passed away on Friday, August 4th, 2023 at her residence, surrounded by her loving family.

 

Born December 21st, 1926, in Greenville, South Carolina, Carnice was the daughter of the late Kip Simmons and Vanna Crowe Simmons. Carnice was retired from J.P. Stevens, Slater- Marietta location, she had a great passion for the baseball and loved the Atlanta Braves. Carnice enjoyed swinging on the front porch watching the deer with her beloved dog, Brighton, who was always by her side. Carnice was a former member of Judson Baptist Church of Greenville, South Carolina.

 

Carnice is survived by her daughters, Linda Reeves (the late Tom) of Westminster, Carol Van Fulton and husband, Leonard of Westminster; grandson, Christopher Fulton; and a great grandson, Joseph “Fred” Adams Jr.  

 

Carnice is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and a grandson, Joseph “Fred” Adams, a brother, Arnold Simmons; and two sisters, Margaret Davenport and Aileen Simmons; and a brother in law, George Davenport.

 

A graveside service will be held 1:00 pm, Thursday, August 10th, 2023 at Woodlawn Memorial Gardens.
