Car driver faces multiple charges in Westminster
The police in Westminster have placed charges against a car driver who allegedly left the scene of an accident involving property damage. The incident was reported shortly before 4 o’clock yesterday afternoon on Johnson Street near S. Spring Street. Lt. Matt Patterson says a neighbor’s tip led the police to a heavily damaged Ford Mustang. In the incident, according to Patterson, a car hit a fire hydrant, a mailbox, and trees. The Oconee Detention Center booking report lists following charges against 18-year old Walhalla resident, Calvin Brandon Woodard Jr: marijuana possession, reckless driving, open containers in motor vehicle, and hit and run accident with property damage.
