Caggiano to succeed Hartman

Oconee County Administrator Amanda Brock announced Monday that Annie Caggiano, project manager for the South Carolina Department of Commerce, has accepted the offer to be the county’s new economic development director. Caggiano began her 16-year career in economic development as the Director of Research for the Central SC Alliance. For eight years, she worked with a team of local developers representing counties surrounding Columbia, South Carolina. From there she went on to serve as Senior Project Manager for South Carolina’s public utility Santee Cooper and as the Assistant Director of Economic Development for Richland County, SC. Caggiano holds a bachelor’s degree in marketing from Clemson University; as well as, certifications in economic development and negotiation management. Caggiano’ s tentative start date is November 1, 2019.  She’ll succeed Janet Hartman, interim director.
