Burglar strikes two convenience stores

A thief chose the night time to strike two Oconee convenience stores, and the sheriff’s office appeals to the public for information that can lead to the burglar at the Lake Shop on n. highway 11 near Salem and at the Bountyland Quick Stop on 123 near Clemson.  Around 12:30 Tuesday morning, deputies responded to the Lake Shop burglary; one hour later they were called to the Bountyland Quik Stop crime scene.  The following suspect has been identified:  an African-American male, dressed in white shirt, blue jean short pants, and a blue baseball hat with the letter B.  It’s believed he was in a silver or light-colored Toyota Camry or Corolla.  At the Lake Shop, firewood was used to shatter the front door.  In both crimes, cigarettes were stolen.  If you provide the right information, you could be eligible for a cash reward.
