Buddy Alan King

Anderson – Buddy Alan King,46, passed away on Thursday, July 15^th, 2021 at Hospice of the Upstate-Rainey Hospice House, surrounded by his loving family.

 

Buddy was born in Oconee County and was the son of the late Bobby Joe King and Nora Beatrice Alexander King. Buddy enjoyed working with his hands and making others laugh, and was of the Christian Faith.

 

Buddy is survived by his significant other, Mary Waldon; daughters, Kay King (Nicholas Stancil) and Courtney King Hicks (Austin); brother, Danny King (Karen); sisters, Tina King Blackwell (Ray) and Barbara Ann King Nichols (Jeff); two grandchildren, Emma Jade Hicks and Oakley Hicks; and several nieces and nephews.

 

In addition to his parents, Buddy is preceded in death by his sister, Sherry Denise King.

 

At Buddy’s request, a Celebration Of Life Service will be held at a later date.

 

The family is at their respective homes. In lieu of flowers, memorials in Buddy’s memory can be made to the Hospice of the Upstate Rainey Hospice House, 1835 Rogers Road Anderson, South Carolina 29621.
