Brock and Caggiano to sit on special committee

Oconee County Administrator Amanda Brock and Annie Caggiano, president of the Oconee Economic Alliance, will serve on a committee to evaluate requests for qualifications to make a Fair Play area sewer basin study.  Chris Eleazer of the Joint Regional Sewer Authority made the announcement after a committee meeting this week.  “The goal will be to take the submittals that were submitted for the RFQ and review those and, at the very least, narrow those down to at least two firms possible,” said Eleazer.  The study is seen as necessary to establish the retail customer rates for that area (Fair Play and adjoining areas such as I-85).  The study is likely to project where growth is likely to occur that would justify where the first piped sewer will lay in the southern part of the county.
