Bonita McAllister Nix
Westminster– Bonita McAllister Nix, 80, wife of the late Alfred Cleveland Nix, Sr. passed away, Monday, July 25, 2022.
Born in Oconee County, Bonita was the daughter of the late Swift David McAllister and Maude Margaret Meadows McAllister. Bonita worked in accounting with her late husband and was a member of Westminster Baptist Church, the Good News Club, Red Hat Society, Dots Kitchen, an Apple Festival Queen and a Merry Christmas Queen.
Bonita is survived by her son, Alfred Cleveland “Al” Nix, Jr. (Christi) of Westminster; daughter, Jeanine Wyatt (Rick) of Clover; brothers, Butch McAllister, Charlie McAllister; a sister, Elaine Howiller; 9 grandchildren; and 3 great-grandchildren.
In addition to her husband and parents, Bonita was preceded in death by her brothers, Furman McAllister, Mack McAllister, Richard McAllister, Herman McAllister and Hershal McAllister.
A funeral service will be held 2:30, Sunday, July 31st, 2022 at Sandifer Funeral Home Chapel, with burial to follow at Chauga Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends 1:00 pm – 2:00 pm, Sunday, July 31st, 2022 prior to the service.
