Bond denied for Westminster murder defendant

For at least six months, there’ll be no bond for a young Westminster man charged with murder in a September shooting that killed one person and wounded another.  Judge McIntosh this afternoon rejected the request of a defense lawyer for a reasonable bond for defendant Charles Stephon Trapp Jr.  Trapp faces charges of the murder of Annalyssa Marie Biondolillo-Rodriguez, seated inside a car, and the attempted murder of a second person who was behind the wheel.  Assistant solicitor Blair Stoudemire said the incident centered on a drug transaction involving a small amount of marijuana.  Defense lawyer Suzanne Earle said Trapp “vehemently denies” the charges and intends to defend himself.  The defendant will have to do that without Earle’s help.  After bond was denied, the judge approved a motion by Earle to relieve her as Trapp’s lawyer after the defendant confirmed that he had sent messages to Earle firing her from the case.  After a young woman addressed the court on behalf of the mother of the deceased, the judge pronounced Trapp a danger to the community, even though the defendant has no previous record.  McIntosh wants the defendant to remain jailed for at least six months before he’s allowed to seek bond again.
