Body found near Westminster

The body of an un-identified Caucasian female was discovered this morning in a wooded area near Westminster.  The coroner and the sheriff’s office are investigating.  A 9-1-1 call from hunters alerted authorities shortly before 8:30 this morning that a decomposed body was found in the woods at the end of the Rufus Land Road, not far from the Jenkins Bridge Road.  Coroner Addis says the physical characteristics of the woman are consistent with a missing Westminster woman known to have stayed at a Rufus Land Road home.  Late last month the sheriff’s office issued a missing person alert for 42-year old Renee Rowland King, last seen November 28 at a Rufus Land Road address.  Addis says the family has been made aware of the remains and advised that an autopsy on Monday and further tests will be done before a positive identification can be established and a cause of death.
