Bobby Grant

Seneca– Bobby Orr Grant, 87, husband of the late Joanne Swaney Grant, passed away Tuesday, December 13^th, 2022 at the Prisma Health Cottingham Hospice House.

 

Born in Oconee County, South Carolina, Bobby was the son of the late Grady Lee Grant and Ethel Holbrooks Grant.  Bobby was retired from West Point Stevens where he worked as a weaver for 53 years. Bobby was a car enthusiast, an avid football fan and a member of Hepsibah Baptist Church.  

 

Bobby is survived by his daughter, Tina Grant Neal and husband Dale of Seneca; three grandchildren, Jennifer Roach, Jasmine Grant and Jordan Grant; and eight great grandchildren.  

 

In addition to his parents and wife, Bobby is preceded in death by his son, Bobby “Lamar” Grant; and brothers, Arthur Grant, Grady Grant Jr., Billy Grant, Charles Grant, Jimmy Grant, and Lesco Grant.

 

A funeral service will be held at 3:00 pm, Saturday, December, 17^th, 2022 at Hepsibah Baptist Church with burial to follow at Hepsibah Baptist Church Cemetery. The body will lie in state at his residence starting Thursday, December 15^th, 2022, at 3:00pm.
