Bob Baker

Born in Oconee County, he was the son of the late Vardmon Theo Baker and Lila Lawing Baker Remmers. Mr. Baker was a retired lineman from Sumter Utilities and was a member of Souls Harbor Baptist Church where he served on the grounds committee and a member of The Brotherhood.

Survivors in addition to his wife include a son, Anthony… Douglas Baker of Westminster; daughter, Sissy Davis and husband Drew of Westminster, Kay Duncan and husband Tom of Charleston, and Christel Hart and companion Daniel Marston of Hartwell, GA; brother, Mike Baker and wife Henretta of Westminster; half-brother, Ricky Baker of Westminster; nine grandchildren, Jessica Power, Glen Davis, III, Cody Roach, Levi Baker, Bradey Roach, Taylor Duncan, Austin Baker, and Kloi and River Hart; and seven great-grandchildren, Landon Roach, Bailee Power, Gunner Baker, Adelyn Roach, Easton Power, Kasalyn Roach, and Liam Baker.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by stepfather, Alvin Remmers; brother, Theo Baker; and half-brother, Terry Baker.

A funeral service will be held 11 am, Saturday, June 30, 2018 at the Chapel of Sandifer Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Heritage Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 6-8 pm, Friday, June 29, 2018 at Sandifer Funeral Home.
