Blue Ridge workers raise money for local charities

Dot’s Kitchen, the United Way, and the Rosa Clark Medical Clinic are among local charities for which workers at the Blue Ridge Electric Cooperative raised thousands of dollars.  In all, the Blue Ridge employee days of giving campaign raised $80 thousand for nine local charities.  They elected to make a one-time gift or contribute 12 working hours of pay.  Blue Ridge workers at the Westminster and Pickens offices learned more about two of the selected non-profits — Feed a Hungry Child and Fostering Faithfully.  Feed a Hungry Child serves all schools in Pickens County and feeds about 600 kids on weekends.  Fostering Faithfully works to make positive change for children, foster parents and caseworkers in Oconee, Anderson and Pickens counties.
