Billie Gerald Turner
Westminster – Billie Gerald Turner, 78, of 317 Mountain View Street, husband of Hattie Jean Smith Turner, passed away on Tuesday, August 10th, 2021 at Prisma Health Cottingham Hospice House, surrounded by his loving and devoted family.
Billie was born in Oconee County and was the son of the late Norman Turner and Mildred Marcengill Turner. Billie retired from Duke Power and The City of Westminster as a Material Supervisor and was a member of Souls Harbor Baptist Church.
Billie is survived by his wife, Hattie Jean Smith Turner of the home, sons, Billie Gerald Turner, Jr. (Nancy) of Westminster, Michael Lee (Stacey) of Walhalla and Scott Lee of Seneca; daughter, Sheri Lynn Smith of Lake City, Florida; sister, Vickey Gibson (Robert) of Simpsonville; six grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.
Billie is preceded in death by his parents.
A funeral service will be held, 11:00 am, Friday, August 13th, 2021, at Sandifer Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow at Oconee Memorial Park Mausoleum. The family will receive friends from 10:00 am – 10:45 am, prior to the service at Sandifer Funeral Home.
