Betty Evans

 

Pickens- Betty Manley Evans, 79, wife of the late Richard Ernest Evans, passed away Saturday, March 2nd, 2024 at her residence.

 

Born in Greenville, South Carolina, Betty was the daughter of the late Olen Joe and Beatrice Wilson Manley. Betty worked at MFG as an operator and retired from Cryovac. She was an active member of her church where she was a Sunday school teacher and sang in the choir. She spent her time volunteering at Lila Doyle Post Acute. Betty enjoyed quilting and made many quilts and blankets. But most of all, Betty’s greatest joy was spending time with her grandchildren.

 

Betty is survived by her loving daughter, Tammy Laws (Mark) of Pickens; brother, James Manley (Susan) of Pickens; sister, Ruby Sullivan (Rick) of Greenwood; grandchildren, Jake Calvert (Megan), Morgan Calvert, Justin Laws (Brittany), Rafe Lewis (Ashley), William Laws, Carmen Laws; great grandchildren, Aubrey, Tanner, Mason, Hadley, and Gibson.

 

In addition to her husband and parents, Betty was preceded in death by her brothers, Charles Manley, Cecil Manley; and her sister, Marie Brookshire.

 

A Funeral Service will be held at 1:00 pm, Wednesday, March 6th, 2024 at Greenville Memorial Gardens Mausoleum Chapel. The family will receive friends and family following the service.
