Beck and Foster are reserve deputy sheriffs

The newest reserve officers for the Oconee Sheriff’s Office are Lewis Beck and Stacy Foster.  In a reserve capacity, a deputy is required to work 20 hours a month and attend a training session.  Before they can go out on their own, reserve deputies must accrue 240 hours of seat time with a regular deputy.  Reserve deputies have the same authority as a sworn deputy, however they are unpaid.  If you are a resident of Oconee County and interested in becoming a reserve, contact Jeff Underwood at the sheriff’s office.
