Barbara Sorrells
Seneca –Barbara Marie Herron Sorrells, 92, wife of the late Charles L. Sorrells, passed away peacefully on Saturday, March 25th, 2023 at Prisma Health Cottingham Hospice House.
Born in Oconee County, South Carolina, Barbara was the daughter of the late Floyd and Alma Eskew Herron. Barbara and her late husband, Charles were co-owners of Sorrells Appliance, she was an active member of many Bridge Clubs, a member of the Seneca Women’s Study Club, and an avid gamecock fan. She was a member of Trinity Baptist Church and was the last surviving member of her immediate family, but her greatest love of all was her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Barbara is survived by her son, Charles Tracy Sorrells and wife Sherry of Seneca; daughters, Ann Fay of Cleveland, Georgia, Nancy Sutherland of Seneca, and Carole Alexander of Seneca; three grandchildren, Chris Davis, Casey Alexander, and Ashley Alexander and two great grandchildren, Ava Alexander and Ely Alexander.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held 11:00 am, Friday, March 31st, 2023 at the Sandifer Funeral Home Chapel.
The family is at their respective homes.
