Barbara Foster Williams

 

Seneca- Barbara Foster Williams, 80, of 104 Mormon Street, wife of the late George Williams, passed away August 13th, 2021 at Prisma Health Oconee Memorial Hospital surrounded by her devoted and loving family.

 

Born in Oconee County, she was the daughter of the late B.F. Foster and Irene Gaines Foster. Barbara was retired from Kendall where she was a technician and was a member of Restoration Family Church. Barbara was a Youth Leader and Vacation Bible School teacher at Ebenezer Baptist Church. At Mt. Sinai World Outreach Ministry, she was a co-founder, a Deaconess, and also enjoyed singing in the choir.

 

Barbara is survived by her daughters, Marilyn Williams, Cheryl Williams, Salina Courchaine, and Tussie Walker; sister, Teritha Williams; grandchildren, Michael Dialo Williams, Kioma Blake Climes, ImaLa Courchaine, Tehya Courchaine, Aquene Courchaine, Nikeya Lindsey, and Kaineka Ellis; great-grandchildren, Lonnie Martin, Jr., Paris Burgos, Faith Jones; sisters-in-law, Ruthaleen Blanding and Margaret Henderson; brother-in-law, Horace Lee; and a host of numerous nieces and nephews.

 

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her son, James Michael Foster; brother, James Monroe Foster; sisters-in-law, Barbara Ann Williams Galloway, Viola Williams Hicks, and Willie Mae Williams Lee; and brothers-in-law, Rogers, James, Jimmy, and Cecil Williams.

 

A Funeral Service will be held 1:00 pm, Saturday, August 21, 2021, at Sandifer Funeral Home Chapel with visitation from 11:00 am to 12:45 pm prior to the service.  Burial will follow at Oconee Memorial Park.
