Bank heist at Toccoa, Georgia

The police in Toccoa, Georgia appeal to the public for information that can solve a mid-day bank robbery yesterday on the Big A Road.  A white male with medium stock build, brown hair and a beard just before the noon hour passed a note to a Northeast Georgia Bank teller announcing robbery and demanding and getting money.  The police have identified the suspect as a 32-year old Pickens County, South Carolina man.  Toccoa Radio WNEG reports no one hurt in the holdup, although the bank tellers were left rattled.  The robber wore a gray t-shirt, jeans, a ball cap, and sunglasses.  Toccoa police, the GBI, and the FBI are talking to witnesses and pulling surveillance from nearby businesses.  Anyone with information who can help authorities is requested to call 706/282-3236 or 706/282-3302.
