COVID-19 vaccine on the move

Across the country, 145 locations are to receive shipments of Pfizer’s COVID-19 vaccine.  Those does left Pfizer’s Michigan facility yesterday and began distribution by FedEx from Memphis, and from UPS from its Louisville hub.  Jeff Duncan, the 3rd District U-S Representative, says, “Operation Warp Speed has provided great promise to the American people amid an unprecedented global pandemic.”

South Carolina’s positivity hits 23%

The more people tested, the more test results show positivity for COVID-19.  On today’s South Carolina report, 13,234 test results were received by DHEC and their positivity increased to 23%.  For the 24-hour reporting period, the state health agency confirmed 3,047 new cases and counted 12 more deaths.  Seventy-five of the new cases are Oconee County residents.

Stolen Walhalla band trailer found in Anderson
