The sheriff’s office is withholding specifics about an adult male for whom a medical helicopter was arranged yesterday morning in southern Oconee County.  The man’s injuries were first suspected to have been the result of a stabbing, but later the sheriff’s office called what happened an assault involving family members in the Earles Grove Community.  The incident remains under investigation. Today’s South Carolina COVID-19 numbers

In the latest 24-hour period, cases of COVID-19 in South Carolina numbered 307.  Five of the new cases are Oconee County residents.  Over a three-day period, the number of new cases statewide increased by about 150.  Across the state, the death toll from the virus increased by five people.
