A shooting last night in the vicinity of Oconee’s Tamassee community.  A statement last night from the sheriff’s office reads:  “At this time, there is no danger to the public.  Unless conditions warrant, the Sheriff’s Office will not be releasing any further information this evening regarding our ongoing investigation.”

Home fire near Seneca

Fire burned a home around 8 o’clock last night near Seneca.  No injuries reported.  Fire fighters, including volunteers from the Corinth-Shiloh Fire Department, spent one and a half hours at the scene–a home on Bernwood Circle in the vicinity of the Cherokee Gardens subdivision.
