  The appearance on the November ballot of several Oconee petition candidates has thrown an unprecedented wrinkle into contemporary local electioneering. But, according to the elections director, there’s no need to fret. Straight party voting rules have not changed. Like this year’s races for Oconee School Board, the Keowee Fire Commission November 6 ballot will contain no opposition for the three men who seek seats. Three seats are available. And, at the deadline, the candidates were Doug Carlson, Steve MacLeod, and Greg Hammill.
