Zoning hearings tonight

Two requests to vary from Seneca’s zoning ordinance are to be heard tonight at City Hall. Beginning at 6 o’clock the board of zoning appeals conducts hearings on David Mead’s application for a requested zoning change at 305 Waterford Drive. The second hearing will take up Benjamin Poole’s request for a change at 106 Pleasant Drive.

Car window smashed and purse taken

Forty-five minutes after a store employee parked her car in front Applewood shopping center, someone broke the driver’s side window and stole a purse. That purse contained credit cards and other financial documents. A co-worker noticed the broken car window and alerted the victim. The Oconee County Sheriff’s Department is investigating.
