A 38-year old man has been jailed in Oconee County on the charge of attempted murder and four other charges. CU students partner with NASCAR driver

Clemson marketing students are helping NASCAR driver Mike Wallace find a sponsor for his car. The students also hope to raise enough money for Clemson to sponsor Wallace’s car for one race. The driver will be on campus Saturday, with an orange and white car, to promote his partnership with the marketing student team.

Military mail deadlines

U-S Postal Service has released its suggested mail-by-dates to help customers ensure that their packages, cards and letters arrive in time for this year’s holiday season. The first holiday mailing deadline is November 13 for customers sending Parcel Post packages to APO and FPO addresses. Space Available mail must be mailed by November 26.

No matter how next month’s elections turn out, a Seneca chapter of a national and international service club is going to hear a slant on the results from one of the country’s leaders. WOHS Band takes top honors

The West-Oak High School Marching Band claimed top honors in a competition featuring 37 bands. At last weekend’s Boiling Springs Festival of Bands, the Marching Warriors earned Best Colorguard, Best Music and first place overall in class. Colt Campbell directs the band, assisted by guard instructor Tammy Mauldin and percussion instructor Dino Wagoner.
