The takeover by a charter school of the former middle and high school building in Salem eliminates the possibility that the Oconee Public Library will move its Salem branch from the Town Hall building to the school location.  Phil Cheney, director of Oconee libraries, made that announcement as he spoke last evening to a committee of the Oconee County Council.
