City of Seneca will spray to control mosquitoes tonight within the corporate limits.  The spraying gets underway 8:30.  There will be no spraying if it rains.

  Edda Cammick, chairwoman of Oconee County Council, commended the county’s first term auditor, Christy Hubbard, last night for a technology achievement.  For the first time, the auditor’s office can now process vehicle registrations online.  “I’ve been whining about that for a long time and she (Hubbard) came thru for me,” Cammick said during last night’s council meeting.  

A Walhalla water rate increase during the next 12 months appears out of the question.  Councilman T-J Bagwell says his attempt to enact an increase has been rejected.  There was discussion of the next city budgets during last night’s City Hall meeting.  According to Bagwell, it appears the annual transfer from the water department to general government will drop to […]
