New cell tower requested

The Oconee Board of Zoning Appeals will welcome comment tonight on a request to put up a new cell tower in the Tamassee community.  The hearing centers on a special exception request to build a 225′, self-supported tower at 226 Whitmire Church Road.  Tonight’s 6 o’clock public hearing takes place in County Council Chambers in Walhalla.
