A fire broke out last night on the property of the Dillard House restaurant in Dillard, Georgia. But reports indicate the fire was confined to the maintenance building only—located at the back of the restaurant.

A home fire, believed to have started in the kitchen, has taken a heavy property toll in rural Oconee. It was a late night fire in the Ebenezer Community, on Kelly Mill Road. No one hurt. American Red Cross called to provide assistance. Fire fighters were alerted at 11:20 and stayed at the scene two hours.

According to a report from the Oconee Sheriff’s Office, a tractor yesterday morning hit a person near Salem in the vicinity of the Whitewater Falls Road. EMS responded to that incident scene.

The booking report from the Oconee Detention Center shows eight charges against a 25-year old Oconeean, arrested last night by the county Sheriff’s Office.
