The police in Walhalla foiled a break-in attempt early yesterday at a city laundromat. Chief Brinson says the crime occurred in the early morning hours at the Tiger Wash at W. Main and S. Poplar. To catch their suspect, the police applied their taser equipment. We expect further details later today.

The outside auditor for the Oconee public schools recommends the county district create a telephone hot line to allow persons to report fraud.
