Oconee schools make announcement

Distance learning for Oconee public school children resumes Monday.  Families without power should reach out to a teacher or principal and the schools will extend grace and flexibility through their outage.  Student meals will continue to be offered Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays at all schools, as well as at several locations countywide.  Classrooms remain closed through April 30.

Seneca’s task to restore power to 5,000

Officials have received preliminary numbers to indicate that more than 250 homes were destroyed and more than one thousand damaged by the tornado, according to Seneca’s Scott Moulder.
