A long-time law enforcement officer is the new chief of police at Tri-County Technical College.  He’s Chris Scott, a 40-year law enforcement officer, the last 18 years as a lieutenant with the Anderson County Sheriff’s Office.  Scott has college degrees, including a criminal justice degree in 1983 at Tech.

Plans are in the works for a new Bigfoot festival in Westminster.  Music, contests, and crafts will be part of the 2024 festival Friday and Saturday, October 11 and 12.  Everyone is invited, even those who don’t believe the Big Fella exists.

South Carolina’s chief executive is in Germany.  Governor McMaster takes part in an economic development mission trip to the European nation and will take time to visit and tour the Memorial to the Murdered Jews of Europe.  He’ll also visit German companies with South Carolina operations.

A Sunday morning accident in Pickens County took the life of a motorcyclist.  The state patrol is deferring to the coroner’s office for the identity of the deceased.  Trooper Brandon Bolt said the accident was logged at 11:20 yesterday morning on SC 11, eight miles north of Pickens.  Involved:  a motorcycle and an SUV.  According to Bolt, the accident occurred […]
