Fire caused minor motel damage

A commercial dryer caught fire Saturday at the Seneca Days Inn.  Chief Caudill of the city fire department said no one was hurt, although smoke likely drifted through parts of the motel building.  A passerby spotted the Seneca department’s extended ladder truck.  According to Caudill, it’s standard protocol to send the ladder truck when a building fire is reported.
