Attending to the fix from the big freeze

Tabor Road and E. North Avenue.  They have in common a crying need for attention as the result of Christmas weekend when temperatures fell as low as five degrees.  Kevin Harbin, interim utilities director for Westminster, announced last night city workers are to coordinate today with the County of Oconee to protect an exposed water line on Tabor Road as it approaches Lake Hartwell and address what he called the loss of a culvert. Tomorrow look for a section of Westminster’s E. North Avenue to close as crews replace a sewer line in response to problems encountered by the ice cream business Park Place.
