Assault Near Walhalla Library

Walhalla Police Chief, Sean Brinson released the following statement Thursday afternoon:

On 1/5/2022, at approximately 12:43 PM. Walhalla PD officers responded to an assault that occurred behind the Oconee County Library located on S. Broad Street in Walhalla. During the course of the investigation, video evidence was obtained which resulted in charges being filed against Christopher Rogers for Assault and Battery 3^rd degree. Rogers turned himself into WPD officers on 1/6/2022 at approximately 4:00 PM and was booked at the Oconee County Detention Center. He was then released on a Personal Recognizance bond.
