Arrest made in wintertime home burglary

A Pickens, South Carolina man has been arrested in the Oconee Sheriff’s Office investigation of a home burglary in the Seneca area, near S. Friendship Road.  According to the sheriff’s office, charges of first degree burglary and petty larceny are placed against Michael Anthony McCrary.  After a bond hearing, law enforcement authorities transferred 26-year-old McCrary to the Anderson County Detention Center.  An Oconee deputy on February 13 started an investigation after speaking to homeowners on Landon Drive.  The homeowners discovered a watch and a guitar missing and evidence that someone had rummaged through their house.
