Arrest made in early morning Seneca crime

The Seneca police believe a 48-year old woman from Newberry County is responsible for crimes early yesterday morning downtown. A police officer discovered broken glass on a Ramcat Alley side door entrance to the Morgan Law Building. Investigation showed the intruder rummaged the inside. A stolen fire extinguisher was found at the back of another Ramcat Alley business. According to Chief John Covington, the police located their suspect at a convenience store and charged her with theft and burglary. The arrest warrants naming Jennifer Joann Barnette list her address as Prosperity, South Carolina, but Covington says she is currently homeless.
