Arrest made after home burglarized near Walhalla

The investigation of a home burglary near Walhalla has led to the arrest of a 34-year-old man.  According to the Oconee Sheriff’s Office, charges of first degree burglary, petty larceny, and malicious injury to property were placed against Brent Eric Money, identified by the sheriff’s office as a neighbor to the crime scene.  The burglary part of the investigation started after a deputy answered a vandalism call to a home on Whitman Hollow Road near the Poor Farm Road. An arrest warrant accuses Money of kicking in the door to the home on June 21 and stealing food and beverage items.
