Arrest made after domestic violence investigation

A Rabun County, Georgia resident was arrested by the Oconee Sheriff’s Office Monday on multiple charges that arose from a domestic violence investigation in Long Creek. The charges listed against Tiger, Georgia resident Joshua Dennis Dodgins include attempted murder. A deputy sheriff investigated a November 2017 complaint by a Long Creek woman who said she and Dodgins formerly co-habitated, but then got into a dispute at her home, in which Dodgins allegedly fired a gun at her car which she drove in an attempt to get away from him. The arrest report lists the following charges against 30 year old Dodgins: attempted murder, possession of a weapon during a violent crime, discharge firearm into an occupied vehicle, and criminal domestic violence high and aggravated.
