Arid conditions plague Oconee farm land

It has been days since the last official rain measurement in Walhalla, the County Seat of Oconee.  But, at least some things in the Walhalla area remain green.  Not so much in southern Oconee, the heartland for county agriculture. One farmer tells us he used a posthole digger for a new fence yesterday, but the ground, hard as it was, would not cooperate.  There are 40% and 50% percent chances for rain tomorrow and Thursday.
