Apprentices experience the manufacturing environment

Seneca’s BASF Environmental Catalyst and Metal Solutions says its latest  apprenticeship program is success.  The program is geared to help individuals with no prior manufacturing experience, and it transitions individuals to from various backgrounds into what’s envisioned to be thriving manufacturing careers.  Four apprentices finished 11 months of training:  Andrew Bratcher, Anna Brewer, Destiny Hickman, and Hunter Watson.  They’ve earned certifications, including Process Technology from Tri-County Technical College and an apprenticeship certificate from the U-S Labor Department. Elba Lizardi, site director for BASF ECMS in Seneca, said, “These apprentices have adapted incredibly well to a new industry and are already making positive contributions to their departments.  We’re proud of their hard work and look forward to seeing how they continue to grow and advance in their careers.”
