Appeal filed over Seneca short-term rental decision

Affirming a citation against a couple for a short-term rental violation is under appeal in the Oconee Common Pleas Court.  Lawyers for Leonard and Julie Chace name as defendants the city, the board of appeals, and Ed Halbig, zoning administrator.  The Chaces’ seek an injunction and ruling that Seneca’s ordinance is unconstitutional and on the grounds of vagueness.  They contend there’s nothing that prohibits renting the property.  Halbig disagreed and so did the appeal board which, after a hearing, upheld his decision to issue the citation.  The appeal cites four separate causes of action.
