Announcement tomorrow in the Tucker Hipps’ case

The media are being alerted to a news conference tomorrow for the purpose of disclosing new information in the death seven years ago of Tucker Hipps, a Clemson University student.  A Sigma Phi Epsilon pledge, Hipps was found dead September 22, 2014 in water beneath the Lake Hartwell 93 bridge leading to the university.  Scheduled to take part in the news conference are Hipps’ parents, Gary and Cindy Hipps, Oconee sheriff’s investigator Jimmy Dixon, Helen Westmoreland of Oconee Crimestoppers, and Daniel Catullo II, director and producer of a documentary film about the death.  No criminal charges have so far resulted from the case, and the family seeks closure.  No one has come forward with information to explain what happened, and a new reward is to be announced.
