Announcement from the sewer authority

“Effective immediately, the Oconee Joint Regional Sewer Authority (OJRSA) will modify services for the foreseeable future in order to protect its employees, their families, and the community by reducing opportunities to spread COVID-19 in our community. The agency will monitor the situation and act in accordance with recommendations provided by federal, state, and local authorities.
Based on current CDC and DHEC guidance, the OJRSA will take the precautionary measures noted below.
• All visitors must have scheduled appointments with OJRSA staff members and must complete the Visitor Health & Travel Questionnaire, which is available at www.ojrsa.org, and submit it to [email protected]. Approval must be received by OJRSA administration prior to visiting any OJRSA facility.
• The OJRSA Administrative & Operations Building is closed to the public except for when hosting required public meetings (i.e., Board of Commissioners meetings). Attendees to public meetings will be required to complete the Visitor Health & Travel Questionnaire prior to attending meetings.
• Capacity permits and fees will be processed through US Mail unless prior approval has been given to complete in person. The permit can also be downloaded from the website. Contact 864-972-3900 for assistance with completing the permit and calculating fees.
• The agency will continue to receive hauled waste products from OJRSA-permitted septic service companies.
• Public tours of the Coneross Creek Water Reclamation Facility have been postponed.
The OJRSA will continue to provide all essential services to support the community during this time.”
